First Impressions


I recently called a business.  The phone rang once then a pleasant voice said, “Welcome to XYZ Company, my name is Jane, How can I make you smile”  I was so surprised that it took me a few seconds to respond “you already have”.  So many businesses have an auto attendant that will drive you through a series of “press this, say that” before you ever get to a human.  Worse still, that person seems disturbed that you are interrupting their day by calling.

If you are the owner or manager of a business call your main number sometime and see if you are satisfied with the feeling you experience.  If your employees project an attitude of “this would be a good place to work if it weren’t for these customers” you might consider making a change.  Remember “If you don’t appreciate your customers, you competition will”.
